Building the Neato experience was more like developing a character than typical product design. Neato was one of the first robots to enter daily life, and as such, it’s behavior was critical to it’s success.

One of it’s key differentiators was it’s cleaning path algorithm, it cleans better and it is easy to demonstrate with its linear pathways versus its competitors.
